Empty words form meaningless sentences
that become hollow lies spoken in the belief
that what you are saying
is what people want to hear
Poetry is a vast ocean
of emotional truths
drawn from

and to those
who could no longer witness the spiral.
Into the rabbit hole we descend
neath the post-apocalyptic scorched earth
hidden from the tortures of our past.
